crime Nagpur: A squad of Crime Branch on Thursday arrested a bootlegger and seized a cache of lethal weapons including swords, a dagger etc from his possession. The Crime Branch was on patrolling duty in Zone 2 and was searching for criminals in view of Holi revelry.

The cops received a tip-off that a bootlegger Ankush Jhanak Tomaskar (19) of Samata Nagar, Jaripatka, was selling liquor illegally from his house. The sleuths immediately raided the house of accused Ankush and carried out a search.

The search led to recovery of four swords, one dagger, iron rod besides 48 bottles of contry-made liquor.

A case was registered against the accused Ankush Tomaskar under Section 4+25 of Arms Act read with Sub-Section 135 of Mumbai Police Act and Sub-Section 65(E) of Prohibition Act and placed under arrest.
