Delhi Public School Kamptee Road, Nagpur hosted the fifth edition of DPS LitFEST 2025 on 8th November, 2025 celebrating the beauty of words, creativity and expression.The festival brought together the school’s young literary minds in a vibrant celebration of language and imagination.
The event was graced by Prof. Supantha Bhattacharyya, a distinguished academician, celebrated theatre-person, accomplished poet and quizmaster, as the Chief Guest. Prof. (Dr) Bhattacharyya, who serves as Professor and Director, M.A. (English) at Hislop College, Nagpur, inspired students through his encouraging words on the importance of language, performance and creative thought. His address left the audience motivated to explore the power of communication and artistic expression.

The LitFEST 2025 featured a diverse array of engaging events across four languages — English, Hindi, Sanskrit and Marathi — designed to nurture linguistic flair, creativity and critical thinking. The students enthusiastically participated in various competitions such as storytelling, poetry recitation, debates, dramatic performances and literary quizzes. Each event highlighted the richness of language, the joy of expression and the spirit of healthy competition. From thought-provoking debates and expressive poetry to storytelling and theatrical performances, the festival served as a vibrant platform for the students to showcase their literary skills and imagination.
Adding to the grandeur, Ms. Tulika Kedia, President and Pro-Vice Chairperson, Delhi Public School Kamptee Road and MIHAN and Ms. Savita Jaiswal, Director of Delhi Public School Kamptee Road and MIHAN, joined the event virtually and extended their heartfelt wishes to all the participants. They applauded the school’s efforts in nurturing literary appreciation and creative confidence among the students, encouraging them to express themselves fearlessly through words.
The Principal, Ms. Yogeeta Umalkar, in her address, congratulated the participants for their exceptional performances and highlighted that such literary platforms help students cultivate empathy, imagination and communication skills. A distinguished panel of judges evaluated the participants in the various competitions with keen insight and appreciation.
The event concluded with the felicitation of the winners and a Vote of Thanks, marking the end of an inspiring and intellectually enriching celebration. DPS LitFEST 2025 stood as a testament to the school’s vision of fostering creativity, collaboration and linguistic excellence, leaving every participant inspired to think deeply, speak clearly and soar with purpose.
