Nagpur: 2 tricksters allegedly defrauded 13 people with the pretext of allotting them Thailand trip and cleaned Rs 3.20 lakh from them under the jurisdiction of Ambazari police station.
According to police, complainant Shakti Nirmal (36) resident of Purohit Layout, Ambazari who owns a travel agency came in a contact with accused duo Shantanu Wagh(30), native of Dahegaon, Khaparkheda and Pankaj Pal (34), native of Bailwadi, Koradi with an advertisement of travel agency ‘Bonewise Holidays’.
The accused duo however lured Shakti and others with Thailand holiday package with much affordable pricing than of market rate and also obtained Rs 3.20 lakh between June 29 and August 7, 2018. The accused assured 5 days and 6 night holiday package starting from August 4 to 11, this year.
Subsequently, on the day of boarding complainant got no response from the travel agency Bonewise Holidays after which he sense amiss. However when he approached travel agency the accused due had managed to put down the lid.
Subsequently, the complainant approached Ambazari police station and filed a complaint against the duo.
Ambazari police told NT that, they have arrested accused Shantanu but Pankaj however managed to escaped from their hands.
