Bollywood music director Adesh consigned to elements

Mumbai/ Nagpur: Bollywood music director and singer, Adesh Shrivastava, who died yesterday of cancer, was consigned to elements today, Sept 5, at Oshiwara crematorium, Mumbai.

Several renowned celebrities including Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Anees Bazmi, Sonu Nigam, Udit Narayan, Rajiv Kapoor, Pahalaj Nihalani, Shekhar Kapoor, Kunal Ganjawal;a, Pandit Jasraj, Ismail Darbar, Sazid-Wazid, Alka Yagnik and others joined his funeral.

He was 51 when he breathed his past at 12.30 hours on Sept 4 at Kokilaben Dheerubhai Ambani Hospital, Mumbai wherein he was undergoing treatment for his cancer over 40 days.

He is survived by wife Vijeta Pandit and sons Anivesh and Avitesh. Vijeta Pandit is sister of music director pair Jatin-Lalit.
Adesh had given memorable music in more than 100 films including chalte-chalte, baghbaan, kabhi khushi-kabhi gham and rajneeti.

His famous songs include kya ada kya jalve tere paro, hathon mein aa gaya jo kal, shava-shava, mora piya and others.
