Bogus mobile towers company dupes Indora man of Rs 85,000

Nagpur: A man’s greed to earn easy money cost him dearly as he was duped by a bogus mobile tower erection company to the tune of Rs 85,850.

The victim Bhimrao Damaji Handekar (53), resident of Indora Republican Nagar, spotted a newspaper advertisement inserted by Delhi-based Daksh Towers Private Limited. Upon noticing the advertisement, Bhimrao contacted the company on the mentioned mobile phone number for erection of tower at terrace of his house. In return, the Daksh Towers Company directed Bhimrao to deposit money in company’s Bank of Maharashtra account number 60177966189 from time to time between 11.02.2015 and 23.03.2015.

Overcame by greed to earn an easy money, Bhimrao deposited a total of Rs 85,850 in the said account only to be deceived by the Delhi-based Daksh Towers Private Limited. The company neither erected the mobile tower at Bhimrao’s house nor returned the money to him.

The frustrated Bhimrao lodged a complaint with Jaripatka police in this connection.
