Nagpur: The body located in Mihan premises yesterday has been identified as 22 year old Bhavesh Gautam, an engineering student. The body was traced yesterday in a partly covered compartment of a water tank in Mihan with injury marks on back and legs.
The Sonegaon police are yet to conclude whether it is a murder case or an accidental death.
A native resident of Gondia, Bhavesh was missing since a day before he was discovered in deceased state, according to his roommates and friends. He stayed in a rented room in Vaibhav Nagar, Wanadori from where he was pursuing his engineering.
Tensed after not being able to contact him, Bhavesh’s family members had also arrived in the city. Shortly, they were informed that an unknown body was trying to be identified by the Sonegaon Police.
“The body had marks of injury on its back which may have appeared from falling from the chamber. Most of the blood stains had washed off in the rains”, said Senior PI Sanjay Pande. “The wounds may have appeared after he collided with a rod positioned at the base of the chamber”, he added.
