Nagpur: A rivalry over workplace performance allegedly turned violent in Nagpur after two delivery executives of an online delivery company were arrested for attempting to murder their colleague, whom they allegedly viewed as a competitor.
The incident took place late at night near the ST Corporation quarters under the jurisdiction of Ganeshpeth Police Station. The victim, Amin Mustafa Pathan (34), a resident of Untkhana and a delivery executive with Blinkit, sustained serious stab injuries and is undergoing treatment at a hospital.

Police identified the accused as Ketan Urkude (20) and Shravan Barai (20), both employed with the same company.
According to the investigation, Pathan had earned a good reputation within the company for consistently completing deliveries on time. Police said the accused allegedly harboured resentment over his performance and frequently picked quarrels with him. On Sunday morning, they allegedly threatened to kill him during an argument.
Later that night, after Pathan completed a delivery at Model Mill Chowk and was returning to the company premises, the two accused allegedly intercepted his motorcycle near the ST quarters and attacked him repeatedly with a knife before fleeing.
Local residents rushed the injured man to Government Medical College and Hospital and alerted the police.
Ganeshpeth Police registered a case of attempt to murder and other relevant offences before arresting both accused. Investigators are probing whether professional rivalry was the sole motive behind the attack or if other factors were involved.
