Nagpur: The State BJP President and MLC Chandrashekhar Bawankule on Thursday said that BJP’s victory in the Gujarat Assembly elections is historic and an eye-opener for the Opposition. People of Gujarat have wholeheartedly supported Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s developmental politics.

Bawankule was talking to the media on Thursday in Nagpur. “While travelling in Gujarat, I had predicted there would be a big victory for BJP in the State. Rahul Gandhi can never come forward as Congress leader in the country. Congress cannot win under his leadership,” he said.

He thanked the people of Gujarat for the historic victory of BJP. Bawankule said, the people of Gujarat still have faith in Prime Minister Modi. This is the success of Modi’s efforts to make India a superpower in the world. This is the acknowledgement given by the people to the work done by BJP in Gujarat. Even now, this result will open the eyes of the opponents.

“The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) had made so many big promises but the party failed miserably in the elections. Congress is weak. Rahul Gandhi’s influence is not visible. No matter how much he travels, his ethics are not right. He has no vision. He knew that there would be defeat in Gujarat, so he also claimed that he did not campaign in Gujarat,” Bawankule stated.

Sanjay Raut should do constructive work

“If Sanjay Raut has received a threatening phone call, he should seek police protection. Report to the police. But he is speaking in front of the media. If he asks for protection, Devendra Fadnavis is capable of providing protection. They curse people and leaders every day. Raut should refrain from talking absurdly. He has been in jail for three months so he speaks the language of prisoners. Sanjay Raut should do some work constructively,” Bawankule advised.
