BJP women’s cell distribute earthern pots to save birds from summer heat

With the Nagpur heat scorching up at 44 degree, the mercury is set to go upward in the next month, as per the met report. Amidst the rising heat, the parched environs have made it difficult for the birds and animals to survive for the lack of water. Taking up the cause to save birds from dying out of thirst a meeting was organised here to initiate steps in the direction.

The meeting held under the chairmanship of former mayor, Prof Kalpana Pande, city president Dr Kirtida Ajmera announced that provision of water and food will be made for birds and animals in all 72 zones of the city.

Hundreds of earthen pots were distributed among women for making such provisions and saving birds and animals of the city from sweltering heat.

Present on the occasion were former mayor, prof Kalpana Pande, city president, Dr Kirtida Ajmera, mahamantri Jyoti Janbandhu, Civic body members, Umatai Gathibandhe, Laxmi Yadav, Lata Yerkhede, Kalyani Telang, Asha Gupta, Maya Thawli, Maya Dhiwre, Snehal Bihare, Sangeeta Wankhede, Puja Tiwari, Bharati Armarkar, Shraddha Pathak, Shahnaz Ali, Vaishali Gaikwad, Pratima Vairagade, Rekha Nimje, Rukhmatai and several other women took vow to save birds and animals from heat.
