BJP, Shiv Sena MLAs demand regularization of illegal constructions in Pimpri-Chinchwad!!

In an unusual demand, some BJP and Shiv Sena MLAs resorted to a demonstration in front of Vidhan Sabha demanding regularization of illegal constructions in Pipmri-Chinchwad cities. The Leader of Opposition in Assembly Eknathrao Khadse and the Leader of Opposition in Councli Vinod Tawde later joined the MLAs in their demonstration.

Similarly, BJP and Shiv Sena MLAs from Konkan too demonstrated against recommendations of Kasturirangan Committee wherein some villages in Sindhudurg have to be included eco-sensitive zone. The MLAs argued the creation of eco-sensitive zone will adversely affect development works in Konkan and the people are totally against the eco-sensitive zone. The demonstrating MLAs demanded immediate cancellation of the recommendations by the Government. The MLAs too were later joined by the Leader of Opposition in Assembly Eknathrao Khadse and the Leader of Opposition in Councli Vinod Tawde their demonstration.

PROJECT-HIT FARMERS:

The Leader of Opposition in Vidhan Sabha Eknathrao Khadse said that once the lands of farmers have been acquisitioned for any project, the farmers are not permitted to purchase agriculture lands. Khadse demanded amendment in the present day law so that the second or third generation of the farmers could purchase agriculture lands. The Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan informed Khadse that the issue is under consideration of Government and assured amendment in the law.

ANTI-MONEY LENDING BILL:

The Opposition Leader criticized the Government’s careless attitude towards bringing Anti-Money Lending Bill. The Government lacked the will power, Khadse said in Vidhan Sabha.

“A large number of farmers in Vidarbha are committing suicides. The main reason behind the suicides is torture and loot of farmers by the money-lenders. The Anti-Money Lending Law is must to free the farmers and weaker section people from the clutches of money-lenders.  Replying to Khadse’s criticism, the Chief Minister assured enacting the law as soon as possible.

RATION CARDS FOR BANGLADESHIS:

Khadse demanded immediate action against the officials and employees who distributed ration cards to Bangladeshi people and other citizens in the state who submitted bogus documents. A total of 54 lakh ration cards were found bogus. The Government has not acted against a single person having bogus ration card in the past 5 years, Khadse said and demanded computerization and bar coded ration cards with biometric system.
