Nagpur:
A half a kilometer flyover is proposed to be built near Mansar (Ramtek Tehsil) on Nagpur-Jabalpur Road. A huge quantity of ash being accumulated at power plants is to be judiciously used in the construction of the bridge. However, the contract to supply the ash has created a sort of tug-of-war with BJP-Shiv Sena men in the ring. And when the concerned minister was found to be favouring to award the work to a Sena leader, the BJP men were left fuming.

The Oriental Group of Companies is slated to construct the 500-meter flyover at Ramdham near Mansar. Hundreds and hundreds of tons of ash is going to be used in “filling” work at the flyover. A BJP minister had suggested the judicious use of ash emitted at Koradi and Khaparkheda Power Plants. Subsequently, the ash is being used for “filling” work in many bridge constructions in the city as well as district.

Now, the tug-of-war has erupted between Shiv Sena and BJP leaders of Ramtek to bag the ash supply order. However, when the concerned minister hinted at his intention to favour a Sena leader instead of his party (BJP) man, the contest has reached its feverish pitch.
