Nagpur: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has announced a new 34-member national executive of its youth wing, the Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM), providing representation to young leaders from across the country. Three leaders from Maharashtra — Sayali Raghunath Kulkarni, Virendra Patil and Gurdit Singh Vohra — have been included in the team announced under BJP national president Nitin Nabin’s leadership.

The new executive also includes Maithili Thakur, MLA from Alinagar in Bihar and a popular folk singer. Her appointment to the national executive is being viewed as an important organisational responsibility following her entry into the state legislature.

Following her appointment, Thakur thanked BJP national president Nitin Nabin, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and BJYM national president Hemang Joshi through a social media post. She said she would discharge her responsibilities with dedication, discipline and commitment.

Uttar Pradesh has received the highest representation, with five members in the new executive. Bihar, Gujarat, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Rajasthan have been allotted two positions each, while the remaining 17 members have been selected from other states and Union Territories.

The BJYM national executive plays a key role in communicating the party’s policies to young people, promoting central government schemes, conducting organisational activities and expanding the party’s outreach among youth across the country.
