Nagpur: Public dedication of Bio-Digester type toilets in Mangalwari Zone was done on September 29, 2016.
The public dedication was done by Corporator Sangeeta Girhe and Assistant Commissioner Mahesh Dhamecha at Bhim nagar in Zingabai Takli Prabhag. More than 100 such bio-digester type of toilets are said to be installed in Mangalwari zone. The installation work of such bio-digester type of toilets is in progress under Swachh Bharat Mission to eradicate Open deification, which is a health hazard and a shame.
In bio-digester type of toilets, there is no need to provide sewer line network, as the excreta decomposes within 48 hours, due to pre-injected bacteria. Zonal officer Patil, Tambe, Samundre and beneficiaries were present at the public dedication.
