Nagpur: The nightmare continues. In yet another incident of chain-snatching, two motorcycle-borne goons relieved a 30-year old woman of her gold ‘mangalsutra’ and a chain worth Rs 1.75 lakh in Hudkeshwar area on Thursday afternoon. Cops have mounted a search to nab the offenders.
The victim Jyoti Rajesh Lanjewar (30), resident of Mahal, near Rajvilas Talkies, along with husband, was going towards Wadegaon, Umred Road on a two-wheeler (MH-31/DD 1697). When the couple reached near Vihirgaon Flyover, two motorcycle borne goons came from behind and snatched ‘mangalsutra’ and gold chain worth Rs 1.75 lakh Jyoti was wearing and speeded away even before she could raise an alarm. The Lanjewar couple immediately reached Hudkeshwar Police Station and lodged a complaint in this regard.
PSI Gavai has registered a case against the two unidentified muggers under Section 392, 34 of IPC and searching for them.
