Bhagwat Gyan Yagya Mahotsav organized at Geeta Mandir in city

IMG_7099Nagpur: Bhagwat Gyan Yagya Mahotsav has been organized at Geeta Mandir, Cotton Market in the city. The recital of Bhagwat Geeta will also commence on September 25. The Yagya will be chanted by 11 Brahmins. Since the past 10 years, the Bhagwat Gyan Yagya Mahotsav is being organized by Swami Nirmalanand Maharaj and his coordinators. An Akhand Jyoti Ujwalan will also be organized on September 25, 2014 where 1500 earthen lamps (deeyas) will be lighted by the families who are members of the Ashram.

According to Swami, every person should read Bhagwat Geeta once in their life time so that the perspective will change to see the human, society and the nation with positivity. Geeta is the only scripture or Holy Text (Granth) which can take the nation to the development and achievement. He emphasized on Geeta reading for the young generation and for the development of the society.

IMG_7092Every year competitions are also organized for the students from primary to junior college level in which programmes are held like debate and Bhajan singing etc.

According to Swami, karma of the person is important for the society and family. Therefore, devotion should be there for Geeta. At the end of programme “Prasad” of chappan bhog was also offered.
