Best regional centre award to IGNOU Nagpur

Nagpur: The Nagpur Regional Centre of IGNOU was honoured with best regional centre award at the 32 convocation ceremony of the university.

Regional Director; Nagpur Centre; P Sivasvaroop received the gold medal at the hands of Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu, at the main convocation function at New Delhi. A special committee was constituted to analyse the performances of all the 56 regional centres in the country and based on its recommendation, IGNOU Vice-Chancellor Prof Nageshwar Rao approved Nagpur regional centre’s name for the best services award.

Commenting after receiving the award, Dr Sivaswaroop said, “This is the success for the dedicated and committed services of all the functionaries including academic counselors, study centre functionaries like coordinators, programme incharges, assistant coordinators, assistant programme incharge, assistants and regional centre functionaries”.

IGNOU is the largest university in the world with more than 32 lakhs students spread across India and abroad. To provide effective student support services to the students, IGNOU has established 56 Regional Centres at various cities across the country.
