Nagpur:
Bengaluru Bulls and Telugu Titans were involved in a battle of attrition in a Zone ‘B’ encounter in the VIVO Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) season five here today, which ended in an exciting 21-21 tie.

The Benguluru team looked set for a win, leading by five points with a couple of minutes to go. However, Titans led by skipper Rahul Chaudhari bounced back in some style and levelled things in the last minute.

With Bulls’ star player Rohit Kumar watching from the sidelines after being dismissed, they saw the Titans catch up, as a result of Chaudhari’s fantastic work.

The climax proved to be exciting and had the spectators on their feet as neither team was willing to concede an inch. In the end, it was some sort of justice that the Bulls and Titans were tied at 21-all.

With 10 minutes to go, Titans were hoping their star player Rahul Chaudhari would come up with something special. And, he did so by scoring a point as the team trailed 12-16.

The teams scored points in quick succession but Bulls kept their noses ahead at 17-14 with seven minutes to go.

The strong Bulls defence thwarted Rahul Chaudhari’s attempt to secure another crucial point as the match moved towards an interesting climax.

Like the first match of the day between the Haryana Steelers and Gujarat Fortunegiants, this one too saw a low-scoring first half.

The two teams started cautiously, with Titans pickinng up the first point.

Bengaluru’s star player Rohit Kumar pulled it back for the team when claimed a point.

The proceedings were rather slow as both teams appeared cautious and Rohit Kumar’s good work ensured that the Bulls led by a narrow margin at half-time.
