Nagpur: “Whatever you do in life, do it with full dedication and honesty,” said noted actor Boman Irani while addressing a lecture organised in the memory of former Vice Chancellor of RTM Nagpur University Jal P Gimi here on Wednesday.

The Bollywood star who was shot to fame after his iconic role in 2003 flick Munnabhai MBBS was sharing the journey of his life. Narrating his way to success, Boman said that he never had any plan for his life, he just went with the flow. “I still remember the words of a junior artist,”Boman said while talking about an incident that he said made him like what he is today.
Boman said, “On the set of Munnabhai MBBS, a junior artist once said to me that this film will be a super hit. You will win awards for this. But then, you will be finished, because then your talent will be overlapped by your ego.” This statement, Boman said, changed the way he saw at life forever.

Earlier, while talking about his early days and battle with dyslexia as child, the Bollywood star said that nothing is impossible in life if you have a resolve. “No work is small. I was a waiter and I take pride in saying that. The important thing is, you should excel in whatever you do,” he said.

The programme was convened by Prof Moeez Haq. Registrar Dr Puran Meshram, Pro VC Dr Pramod Yeole, noted industrialist and son of late Jal P Gimi, Shiraz Gimi and former Mayor of Nagpur Atal Bahadur Singh were present on this occasion.
