Nagpur: Maharashtra Revenue Minister Chandrashekhar Bawankule has once again launched a sharp attack on the Congress leadership, raising serious questions over the party’s current condition and future direction. He particularly took aim at Rahul Gandhi, holding him responsible for what he described as the party’s steady decline.
Bawankule claimed that unrest is growing within the Congress ranks, with many office-bearers and workers feeling increasingly uneasy about their political future. According to him, a sense of insecurity has gripped the party, with several leaders now viewing it as “risky” to continue within the organisation, a factor he said is driving many to quit.
“The Congress party’s downfall is a direct result of weak leadership. Rahul Gandhi must take lessons from the current situation, otherwise the party’s condition will deteriorate further,” Bawankule said.
He further alleged that instead of strengthening the party, the existing leadership is weakening it from within. His remarks are expected to intensify the political atmosphere, triggering fresh reactions from Congress leaders and adding heat to the ongoing political discourse.
