The budget presented by Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman seems to be a balanced budget. The Economic Survey estimates are modest.

The proposal in the Budget to set aside 25% of the defence R&D budget for start-ups and private entities is an excellent move.

The proposals of budget also advance the opportunity for self-reliant India amid the COVID pandemic. However questions regarding simplification of taxation compliances remained unanswered.
