Bajaj Nagar cops arrest mobile burglar from Ramtek

Nagpur: Bajaj Nagar police, with the help of technology, traced a mobile phone burglar and put him behind the bars. Cops have recovered stolen cell phones worth Rs 93,000 from possession of the arrested accused.

The accused, Eknath Radheshyam Kumbhre (25), resident of village Kharpada, Tehsil Ramtek, stole mobile phones including an One Plus hand set worth Rs 41,000, an Asus cell phone worth Rs 11,000 and two other phones from NIT Swimming Pool on North Ambazari Road.

After registering a case, Bajaj Nagar police launched a search of the accused. A team of cops comprising constable Kishore Band, NPC Praful Pawar, sepoys Amit Giradkar, Sanjay Jadhav, Subhash Gajbhiye started investigation. With the help of available technology, the cops traced the mobile burglar in Ramtek village.

The team immediately went to the house of the accused and detained him. Cops also recovered the stolen cell phones from his possession. The accused was booked under Section 379 of the IPC and placed under arrest.

The action was carried out under the guidance of DCP Zone 1 Vivek Masal, ACP Ashok Sarambalkar and Senior PI R A Kshirsagar.
