Nagpur: Bag lifters and chain-snatchers seem to have a free run. In another incident which occurred on August 19, 2015, between 5 pm to 6:30 pm, the victim Mangala Diliprao Deole aged 55 years and a resident of Cosmos Town, Trimurti Nagar was going to get her blood tested from ICU Department of Padole Hospital, Swalambi Square. During her journey to the Pathology Laboratory, some bag-lifter stole her purse which contained gold ornament and cash worth Rs 3000/- totally worth Rs 99,000/-.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by the victim Mangala Deole, Police Sub Inspector Godhmale of Pratapnagar Police Station registered a case under section 379 of Indian Penal Code against unidentified thief and has initiated an investigation into the matter.
