Aam Aadmi Party Arvind Kejriwal’s scheduled visit on Thursday in Nagpur along with some districts of Vidarbha was marred by his ill health, followed by the lack of permission to his road show and rally at Kasturchand Park. On Wednesday, the district administration first issued permission and later cancelled it citing some formalities to be followed.
However when AAP leaders called an urgent press conference on Wednesday night at 10.15 pm and charged the election officers with taking the u-turn on the indication of a candidate in election fray, the party leaders got a call from district administration later and permission was resumed.
In the late night development, AAP’s Girish Nandgaonkar texted Nagpur Today informing that Kejriwal’s scheduled visit to Chandrapur and Bhandara was cancelled and he would be coming Nagpur on Thursday afternoon instead of morning. Kejriwal’s poor health was cited as the reason for his changed schedule.
AAP candidate from Nagpur Anjali Damania and party member Pratibha Shinde will be attending the rally at Chandrapur and Bhandara, respectively.
Meanwhile, sources informed that Kejriwal’s blood sugar level had gone down on Wednesday in Mumbai where he kickstarted his poll campaign and hence his scheduled visit to Nagpur had to be shifted to evening and tour to Vidarbha stood cancelled.
