Baahubali 2 Release Postponed. It Hits Screens On…

baahubaliThe release of the second part of filmmaker S S Rajamouli’s magnum opus, Baahubali – the Conclusion, has been postponed. Following which, Baahubali 2 is scheduled to hit screens in January 2017, reports DNA.

DNA quotes a source as saying: “The film will now not release in December as planned. It will release in January 2017 instead.”

Baahubali, which stars Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty and Tamannaah Bhatia, will retain the same star cast in the sequel that was earlier expected to release late next year.

Mr Rajamouli, in October 2015, had mentioned on Twitter that: “This story will conclude with the second part itself. But Baahubali 3 will be done in a way that the audience have never experienced films before.” (Also Read: S S Rajamouli: There Will be a Baahubali 3)

The first part of the epic drama, Baahubali – the Beginning, released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi in July 2015 and scored more than Rs 200 crores worldwide within five days of its release. With Rs 500 crores at the Indian box office, it also ranks as the country’s biggest hit so far.
