At 14.8 degree Celsius, Nagpur coldest in Vidarbha

Nagpur: With 14.8 degree Celsius — 0.3 degrees dip in last 24-hours – Second Capital of the State on Monday too remained the coldest city in Vidarbha after Sunday. While the day temperature rose by 0.5 degrees and stood at 31 degree Celsius, Nagpurians felt chill in the night when temperature fell to 14.8 degrees.

The minimum temperatures recorded in other Vidarbha cities in decreasing order are as follows – Gondia (15), Buldana (15.2), Washim (15.4), Gadchiroli (15.6), Wardha (16), Akola (16.3), Brahmpuri (16.4), Amravati (16.9), Chandrapur (17.4) and Yavatmal (18.2).

According to India Meteorological Department (IMD), the humidity level in the atmosphere has increased due to the western disturbance in the Himalayan Region. Owing to which, the mercury has started to rise in most of the district in Vidarbha. While it is raining in the northwestern states of the country, Nagpur too witnessed clouds even though Monday began sunny.
