Armed goons ransack shop, molest woman in Sakkardara

A group of 12-14 armed miscreants barged into a shop in Sakkardara area, ransacked it and molested a woman who was sitting in the shop along with husband. The goons also doled out life threats to the owner of the shop. However, the reason behind the ruffians going on rampage could not be ascertained immediately. The group of goons, including six key accused, have been booked and are being hunted.

The unidentified 50-year old complainant told Sakkardara police that he, along with wife, was sitting in his shop on Sunday. Around 3.30 pm, the group of goons, armed with sharp-edged weapons, entered his shop and started ransacking it. When the shop owner protested, the miscreants threatened to kill him.

The ruffians also molested the wife of shop owner by catching hold of her hands and indulging in vulgar actions. After the ruckus, the criminals fled the spot. Six of the accused have been identified as Rakesh Ramesh Chaudhary (34) of Labhantanda, Ashwin Bhaskar Kawde (19) of Omnagar, Panchu Bante, Bunty Bilkhote, Mohit Moreshwar Kharape and Monu.

Sakkardara WPSI Yelkewar has registered a case against the accused group of goons under Sections 143, 144, 147, 148, 149, 188, 427, 354, 294, 506(B) of IPC read with Sub-Sections 4+25 of Arms Act and mounted a hunt to nab them.
