Another youth brutally murdered publicly over gang war

Nagpur News : While Pachpaoli police were busy with the investigation of a murder case that took place on Saturday afternoon under their jurisdiction, another murder in Garoba Maidan baffled Lakadganj police on Sunday afternoon.

Around 3 pm, a 25-year-old Aatish Meshram alias Balya was brutally stabbed to death in front of his residence at Babulban in Garoba Maidan. Sources informed Meshram’s murder was a revenge of goon Tabrez’s murder that had led to many gang wars in Lakadganj and Kalamna areas.

Police sources informed two years ago, Meshram and his gang members had murdered Tabrez. Among the five murderers, three were convicted while Balya and other named Bhagwan were acquitted from the case.

Since then, Tabrez’s gang members had rage to kill Tabrez’s murder. Since rest three were acquired and Bhagwan is absconding, Tabrez’s gang members made Meshram as their first target.

On Saturday evening, Meshram and his friend had gone to a liquor shop at Shastri Nagar in Nandanwan where he met Vikesh Jadhav, one of the accused. Police told that as per their plan, Jadhav picked up a quarrel with Meshram. However, the figh was resolved by some onlookers present in the bar.

On Sunday afternoon, around 12 youths including Jadhav came on their bikes at Meshram’s house. Jadhav said to Meshram that he wanted to resolve the differences between them and took him to a corner where other armed youths attacked him repeatedly.

Police told that Meshram’s mother and sister had gone to save him but were pushed back and threatened by the murderers. Cops informed that 15 more armed youths were also called in an auto rickshaw to attack Meshram.

Meshram was rushed to nearby private hospital at Wardhaman Nagar. He was referred to Mayo hospital where he was declared brought dead.

On the complaint lodged by Meshram’s mother, Lata, police has booked around eight people- Vikesh Jadhav, Jitu Jadhav, Vikram Jadhav, Rakesh Jadhav, Surendra Tikale, Suraj Khobragade, Chinu Auowala and Avinash alias Kuli. Till late night, police were in search of the murderers.
