Rajesh-KumarNagpur: Zee TV’s immensely popular, light-hearted drama Neeli Chhatri Waale has struck a chord with the audiences through its unconventional storyline of a common man’s friendship with God. The show that has continued to surprise and entertain you every weekend with light-hearted nuggets from the life of an easily flustered, woe bygone middle-class man Bhagwan Das and his wife Bobby is now moving to its next chapter and is all set to bring in a fresh flavor by showcasing the Shiv-Leela.

Actor Rajesh Kumar while in the city to promote the serial said that He himself is a Shiv Bhakt (Devotee). While speaking to media personnel, he said that He likes to assay different roles, but he often ends up doing comedy roles. He claimed that it is difficult to make people laugh. There is enough worry for each person to make them cry.

In the special series, Shivaye who was otherwise seen as a modern-day avatar of Shiva dressed as a young cool dude chatting up Bhagwan Das will now be seen in the traditional form of Lord Shiva rescuing the common man. Actor Rajesh Kumar who plays the role of Bhagwandas in Neeli Chhatri Waale, is in the city today to promote the show.

Rajesh Kumar says, “The show has received immense appreciation from viewers for its differentiated storyline about a common man and his conversations with ‘God’ disguised as a common man. The style of storytelling is very slice-of-life and hence relatable. Needless to say, I’m enjoying playing the part thoroughly and I’m certain that audiences will love the Shiv Leela track where they will now see Shiva in his original, traditional avatar and not as a young man. He will test people on their integrity and pose as a saviour to those who walk the correct path. It will inspire viewers to opt for the correct path even in their most trying, difficult situations”.

In the Shiv Leela special series, every episode will have a situation that will put Bhagwan Das in a confused state where he will face two situations that has two choices –right/wrong. Helping Bhagwandas to overcome from his problem, Shiva will narrate his experience of Swarglok (heaven) and will leave Bhagwan Das with the two options, to make his final choice.

Rajesh Kumar has appealed Nagpur Citizens to watch the Shiv Leela special series on Neeli Chhatri Wale every Sunday at 8:30 pm only on Zee TV.
