
Nagpur: The All India Police Duty Meet 2026 officially commenced in Nagpur on Sunday, with Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurating the event as the chief guest.
The grand opening ceremony was held at the Nagpur Police Headquarters, where the Chief Minister marked the beginning of the six-day national event at Shivaji Ground. The meet, which began on March 29, will continue until April 3, 2026.
A total of 1,300 police personnel, including officers and staff from 29 states and Union Territories, are participating in the event. In addition, more than 400 police dogs are also taking part in various competitions.
The six-day meet will feature a range of competitive events, including computer awareness, police dog (canine) competitions, police videography, photography, anti-sabotage operations, and scientific aids to investigation. Teams performing exceptionally well in these categories will be awarded.
Speaking at the inauguration, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis emphasized the importance of the event, stating that it will not only strengthen coordination among police forces across different states but also enhance efficiency and professionalism in their work.
