All Engineering Inter-Collegiate National-level Cricket Tournament begins

The “17th ENGINEER’S CUP -2017”, National level Event organized by Department of Physical Education & Sports-Anjuman College of Engineering & Technology, this is 17th year of ENGINEER’S CUP ,this a platform specially for Degree Engineering Students and Diploma Engineering Students,has been started on 2nd February,2017 with 20-20 overs Cricket Matches at St Mary School Cricket Ground, behind Ayappa Temple & Rathor Lawn, Mankapur-Borgoan Ring Road, Police Line Takli, the inauguration ceremony has been conducted at St Mary School Cricket Ground with Cricket Match in the presence of Dr.Sajid Anwar,Principal, Anjuman College of Engineering & Technology, Mr Glen Monteiro, Managing Director, St. Mary School Group and Prof. Zakir S. Khan, organizing Secretary(Head of the Department of Physical Education,ACET), and Organizing Committee Members Prof. Md.Tahir , Prof.Naved Zishan, Student Coordinators Sugat Dave ,Chinamy Mahure,Sagar Hingwe,Saqib Iqbal etc.

First Match on 2nd February has been played between Gaikwad Patil Engineering College Group & K.D.K. Engineering College ,Nandanwan,Nagpur ,the Toss won by K.D.K. Engineering College and decided to bowl and Gaikwad Patil College Group Scored 169 runs with the loss of 6 wickets. Sagar played wonderful knock and scored 79 runs and Amay scored 34 runs. From the bowling side of K.D.K. Engineering College ,Vishal and Rajat took 2-2 wickets respectively. In reply Gaikwad Patil College Group won the Match by 110 runs , K.D.K. Engineering College Akash played wonderful knock and scored 13 and Hemant scored 10 runs and Gaikwad Patil College Group bowlers Satish took 4 Wickets & Virant took 3 wickets.

Result :- Gaikwad Patil College Group won by 110 runs.

Second match of the day has been played between Ramdeobaba College of Engineering & Management Vs I.T.M. College ,Kamptee in which I.T.M. College won the toss and elected to bat first and only able to scored 80 runs in 19 overs, Sudarshan played wonderful knock and scored 22 runs and Chetan scored 14 runs, Ramdeobaba College of Engineering & Management bowlers Mangesh took 3 wickets and Subham & Divesh took 2- 2 Wickets, In reply Ramdeobaba College of Engineering & Management chased the target in 19 overs with the loss of 9 wickets and Mangesh scored 13 Runs ,Divesh scored 11 Runs.

Result :- Ramdeobaba College of Engineering & Management won by 1 wicket.
