Nagpur: The sixth evening of the Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav 2025 at the picturesque grounds of Ishwar Deshmukh College, Hanuman Nagar, turned into a spectacle of lights, music, and emotions as Bollywood’s celebrated singer-composer Akhil Sachdeva cast his spell on the audience with a mesmerising live concert on Wednesday.
Amid thunderous applause and glowing phone flashlights, Sachdeva shared a deeply personal moment with his fans. “My daughter was born just four days ago, and this is my first performance since her birth. I dedicate this concert to her,” he announced, his voice brimming with emotion. The crowd erupted with cheers, celebrating both the artist’s joy and his heartfelt connection with the audience.
Recalling his earlier performance in Nagpur six months ago, Sachdeva said, “Back then, I performed on a small college stage. Today, standing on this grand stage at Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav, it feels like life has come full circle.”
Making a dramatic entry on a bike, Sachdeva ignited the crowd’s enthusiasm from the very first note. His electrifying renditions of chartbusters such as “Main Tera Ban Jaunga,” “Har Kisi Ko Nahi Milta,” and “Ek Ho Gaye Hum Aur Tum” swept the audience into a wave of romantic nostalgia. The energy reached its peak as he crooned soulful hits like “Woh Lamhe,” “Pehli Baar,” “Zara Zara,” and “Channa Ve,” with the crowd joining in, their flashlights twinkling in rhythm like a sea of stars.
Introducing himself playfully as “Dilli Ka Ladka,” the singer delivered his signature number “Sun Mere Humsafar” from Badrinath Ki Dulhania, drawing deafening applause and echoing chants of his name. His performance transformed the night into an unforgettable musical celebration, one that perfectly captured the festival’s essence of culture, creativity, and togetherness.
The evening began with the traditional lighting of the ceremonial lamp by Kanchan Gadkari, President of Sanskar Bharati, alongside Anil Sole, Chairman of the Organising Committee, Dr Gaurishankar Parashar, Ashok Mankar, Dilip Jadhav, and others. Dignitaries including Sachin Kawle, Sunil Patil, Chandrakant Satpaise, and Bhupendra Valde were also present.
The local segment was anchored by Richa Sugandh and Aman Chaudhary, while the main event was compered by Bal Kulkarni and Renuka Deshkar.
With music, emotion, and celebration in perfect harmony, Akhil Sachdeva’s concert stood out as a glowing highlight of Khasdar Sanskrutik Mahotsav 2025, a night Nagpur will remember for a long time to come.
