Nagpur News:

The staple and cheap food of almost all Indians – The Onion—has gone beyond the reach of thousands of Maharashtra people. The reason is simple: The ever growing prices of the most enjoyed vegetable. The onion, notorious for bringing tears, albeit, cheerful tears, has really been forcing people to cry. And a picture in this connection was witnessed when the Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Samiti hit the streets to protest the day by day increase in prices of onion.

The leaders and activists gathered at the Panchsheel Theatre Square and shouted anti-Government slogans and protested strongly the decision of Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar of importing onion from Pakistan. “Black marketing and hoarding of the daily used onion is thriving daylight. The Government is directing its all strength and policies towards the interest of the black marketeers. The Akhil Bharatiya Grahak Samiti condemns and protests the Government decisions in this regard,” the leaders of the Samiti said while hitting the streets over the onion prices issue.
