Air Force personnel, Nagpur donate blood for underprivileged

Nagpur News: A blood donation camp was organized recently at Air Force Station Sonegaon, Nagpur jointly by Air Force Wives Welfare Association (AFWWA) Local and Station Medicare Centre. The Camp was inaugurated by Mrs. Neeta Gosewade, President AFWWA (L).

A medical team from Jeevan Jyoti Blood Camp, Nagpur led by Dr (Sqn Ldr) Ravi Wankhede, Director, was received by Flight Lieutenant AK Yadav, Senior Medical Officer of the station who coordinated all activities of the event. In this opening address, Flight Lieutenant AK Yadav mentioned “Blood Donation” as one of the noblest services by mankind. He further stated that the blood collected from the donors from the donors will be utilized by Government and private hospitals for the needy patients who are poor.

The camp was attended by all personnel including Officers, Airmen, Non combatants, Defence Security Corps personnel and civilian employees. Air Commodore SW Gosewade VM, Air Officer Commanding, Air Force Station, Nagpur appreciated the efforts put in by the AFWWA (Local) and Station Medicare Centre to organize the camp.
