AICTE CMAT 2016-17 official notification released

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has released the official notification for the Common Management Admission Test (CMAT) for the session 2016-17. As per the notification, the exam is scheduled to be conducted in the month of January.

This test is held for admissions to post graduate programmes in Management in AICTE approved institutions/ university department. Previously, the exam was held twice a year, in the months of September and February. However, now the Council has decided to hold it only once. No other official announcement regarding the exam has been made so far.
The test, every year consists of four sections, namely, Quantitative Techniques & Data Interpretation, Logical Reasoning, Language Comprehension and General Awareness. Each section contains 25 questions and is held for a duration of 180 minutes in total. For every correct answer, four marks are awarded to the candidates and for a wrong answer, no negative marking takes place. There might or might not be changes in the paper pattern, this session. The candidates will have to wait for the detailed advertisement. Thereafter, they will be able to check the application process, important dates, eligibility criteria, test cities, test pattern etc.
