Chennai: The AIADMK general council passes six resolutions expelling both VK Sasikala and her nephew TTV Dinakaran from the party. The party named the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa as the party’s permanent general secretary. It also declare all appointments made by Dinakaran as invalid.
The general council meeting took place at the Shrivaaru Venkatachalapathy Palace on the outskirts of Chennai. The council comprised a 11-member panel headed by deputy chief minister O Panneerselvam and chief minister Edapaddi Palaniswami .
Even at the previous AIADMK MLAs meet , there was a strong buzz of the impending removal of Sasikala but the absence of some 40 MLAs made the leaders nervous.
