Nagpur: Going on strike has emerged as the new trend among various associations, especially after the Maharashtra government bowed down to pressure of farmers for loan waiver. Now the teachers and non-teaching staff from various government and non-government schools have decided to launch statewide strike for three days – from July 12 to July 14, in support of their series of demands. The strike has been called by goverment and non-government teachers association which also launched an agitation at Samvidhan Square here on Thursday.

They have also put up a 31-point charter of demands which include demand from implementation of seventh pay commission to hiking pensions.

Recently the Maharashtra government and neighbouring Madhya Pradesh saw staunch agitation by farmers following which the loan waiver of farmers owning 5 acres or less land was announced.

Now with the teaching employees also planning the same, there seems to be no end to the trouble being faced by the government
