After battling for life for a week, one and half year old succumbs to burn injuries

In a heart-wrenching incident, a one-and-a-half-year-old kid succumbed to the burn injuries he sustained a week earlier. He breathed his last at Government medical college and Hospital here. The incident took place on August 17 under Kalamna police station.

The deceased has been identified Yash Kamlesh Mohliya, aged one-and-a-half and a resident of Dharam Nagar, behind Kalamna Market. Police said, Yash’s mother was frying poori’s in the kitchen when Yash suddenly came and grabbed her legs. His mother lost her balance and the bowl with heated oil, slipped from her hands and fell on Yash. He was immediately taken to Government Medical College and Hospital for treatment. After battling for life for more than a week, Yash succumbed to his injuries on Sunday at around 8.50 pm.

Kalamna police have registered a case of accidental death and started their investigations.
