Advertisement company dupes traders of lakhs

Nagpur: A Nagpur-based advertisement company Chitransh Technology Private Limited allegedly duped hundreds of business of Amravati city of lakhs of rupees after promising them monthly payment against showing the advertisement on the LCDs installed by the company in their shops.

According to information, Chitransh Technology Private Limited contacted various traders across the city and promised them monthly payment up to three years for showing advertisement on the LCDs between 11 am to 8 pm on daily basis. Considering it an additional income, the traders went to Nagpur with company”s agents namely Gopal Rathi and Sandip Bhatkar and signed on agreement in this regard.

The company took a sum of Rs 35,000 from each trader and gave them LCDs. As per the agreement, the company promised to pay Rs 7,000 per month in the first six months, thereafter Rs 8,000 in months and Rs 10,000 in next 24 months.

It is learnt that some traders received Rs 7,000 till three to four months but the payment stopped thereafter.

Hence, the traders on Saturday met Amravati police commissioner and demanded a strict action against the company owners and its agents. Commissioner has instructed officials to register a case in this connection. Those met Amravati police commissioner included Jayesh Raja, Anil Rathi, Rajesh Vyas, Shankar Bhutda, Shayam Sureka and others. It is learnt that the company made agreement with 650 traders in Amravati. Of them, 185 were not even given LCDs.

Amravati police has started investigation into the case.
