Accused who forcibly vacated house presented in court

On July 7, 2015, 18 persons were arrested for forcibly vacating a house. The Ambazhari Police Station which initiated the action against these accused had presented the accused in the court on July 8, 2015. However, all the accused have been granted bail from the court.

A case in said to be pending in the High Court over the legal possession of this house. It is said that these accused had attempted to forcibly possess the ancestral house of Suraj Ahir a resident of Gandhi Nagar Hill Road. The accused had attempted to oust Suraj Ahir’s family from the house. They had thrown out Suraj Ahir, his wife Hema Ahir, children, sister-in-law and mother-in-law from the house and had went on to damage the furniture and goods of the house.

On July 7, 2015, the accused identified as Kundan Asaram Nigote aged 48 years, and resident of Degma Khurd, Hingna, Ashok Nathuji Khade aged 52 years, Maruti Vthobha Khade aged 49 years, Praveen Pandhari Khade aged 41 years a resident of Gandhi Nagar, Pandhari Nathuji Khade aged 64 years and a resident of Dhanoli, Hingna, Deepak Pandhari Khade aged 40 years and resident of Gandhinagar, Purushottam Shankar Umredkar 39 years, Gorley Layout, Mohnish Suresh Dhabekar aged 30 years and a resident of Ramnagar, Ajinkya Maruti Kamble aged 23 years and a resident of Hingna, Bhaurao Bakaram Madavi aged 60 years and a resident of Degma Khurd, Hingna, Ramchandra Sheshrao Dhabekar aged 53 years and a resident of Degma Khurd, Hingna, Chetan Marotrao Umredkar aged 26 years, Vijay Sudhakar Bhoyar aged 32 years, Sandeep Chiwdaman Nigot aged 29 years and a resident of Kinny Dhanoli, Hingna, Gaurav Prabhakar Khade aged  20 years, Rushab Dharmaraj Khade aged 19 years and a resident of Gandhinagar, Lokesh Ramaji Nighot aged 42 years and a resident of Kinny Dhanoli, Hingna and Ramesh Vithobha Khade aged 58 and a resident of Gandhinagar entered the house of Ahir. They thrashed Suraj Ahir and after throwing the entire family out of the house, they damaged the furniture and goods belonging to Suraj Ahir.

On receipt of information, the Ambazhari Police personnel reached the spot. The accused had displayed resistance to police action too.

In-Charge of Ambazhari Police Station Police Inspector Khade while speaking to Nagpur Today said that against the romours that are taking rounds, we have not received any copies of the court orders. The Ahir family who was living in the house claimed that the house is an ancestral property and hence rightfully theirs.

On the other hand, the opponents identified as Ashok Nathuji Khade and his family claimed that they have won a long pending case from the High Court and hence, they are rightful orders. The Khade family claimed that they had come to reclaim their property along with a Court Bailiff. However, their action of forcibly trying to oust the present residents using force and damaging property is seen as taking law into their own hands.

The Ambazhari Police personnel arrested 18 members of Khade family and friends are registered a case under sections 143, 147, 149, 448, 323, 427, 342 of Indian Penal Code.

However, sources also claimed that Suraj Ahir is said to be a distant relative of Mumbai Don Arun Gawli. It is also claimed that Arun Gawli’s son had contacted some local goons and some big minister and tried to intervene into the matter so that Suresh Ahir gets favour from law and judiciary.
