Nagpur: Under the jurisdiction of Khapa police station, at Potegaon, 3 kms away from Khapa, the patrolling squad of Khapa police imposed a nakabandi and seized an autorickshaw transporting illegal liquor at about 1 am of October 6, 2015.
The arrested accused are named 1) Dattu Yashwant Lambat, 21, and 2) Raj Arun Dhakate, 30, both residents of Khapa. The seized autorickshaw is bearing registration number as MH 31/ AG 7413, and the liquor seized includes 280 litres of Mahua beverage (daru), valuing Rs 28,000.
The total seizure including the cost of auto amounts to Rs 58,000. The police has registered a case under section 65 (A) Mumbai Prohibition Act against the accused. Further investigation is underway.
The said action was executed under guidance of Nagpur (Rural) SP Dr Arati Singh by API Mandave, policemen Jadhav and others.
