Nagpur: A team of Abhilash Mankar and Kartikeya won the Open Cricket Quiz held on September 9, 2015 at Shalom, Hislop College, under the joint auspices of Forum for Arts and Social Sciences, Department of Arts and Humanities, Hislop College in association with cricnorms.com, a cricket website.
It may be mentioned that Kartikeya of the winner team is a student of 7th Standard from Modern School, Koradi Road, Nagpur.
The first runner up team consisted of Kartik Saboo and Ashwin Rang while the second runner up team consisted of Devendra Prabhune and Jaydeep Das.
Though the quiz was held on a working day, it received an overwhelming response, and as many as 60 teams participated in the event.
Principal of Hislop College, Dr Dipti Christian was the chief guest of the event, and she inaugurated it by placing the bails on the stumps. Prominently present on the occasion included HoD, English, Dr Veena Joseph and HoD, Physical Education, Dr Kalpana Jadhav.
Manjit Gharpure and Roshan Gede were the quiz masters while Abhishek Ambulkar and Ahtesham Khan gave brief information about the website- cricnorms.com and Quiz Bash 2.0.
Dr. Supantha Bhattacharya was the event convenor.
