Nagpur: Congress candidate Abhijit Wanjari claimed victory in the election for the Nagpur Division Graduates’ Constituency and took a dig at the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). “The people have acknowledged the work I have done over the past six years,” he said, thanking the voters. He also targeted the BJP by saying, “Jo jita wahi Sikandar” (the winner is the champion).
Speaking to the media, Vanjari said teachers and graduate voters had placed their trust in him. He said voters had chosen him on the strength of the work he had done over the past six years, adding that this was a victory of the people’s trust.
“The people’s verdict is the most important. The acknowledgment given by the voters is important to me,” Vanjari said as he announced his victory. His statement has drawn the political circles’ attention to the outcome of the graduates’ constituency election.
