Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in Nagpur has initiated a unique awareness venture to highlight poor condition of roads in city and corruption behind it. The venture is also aimed at exposing the corrupt officials, political leaders and private firms in a unique way.
The AAP, as a part of the venture, first marks the shabby condition of roads in a big way in order to wake up Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC), the builder of the roads, and the road users. If the measure fails to wake up NMC for taking corrective steps, a naming ceremony of the potholes is being undertaken and the names of corrupt officials and political leaders, responsible for poor condition, being the focus, said the AAP leader Rajesh Pugalia in a press release.
The AAP is dedicating this unique awareness venture to citizens of Nagpur by first highlighting the name of Mayor Anil Sole in the naming ceremony of holes on the roads. It may be recalled, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during his August 21 visit to Nagpur, had praised the Mayor Anil Sole for his efforts to make the city clean and beautiful but the present condition of city roads and cleanliness is far from the truth, said Pugalia and added that the very name of Mayor would be highlighted in this one of a kind programme.
