AAP ki Delhi: Kejriwal set to sweep Capital, BJP stares at worst drubbing

New Delhi/Nagpur: The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) established a huge lead in early trends in the counting of votes for the Delhi assembly polls on Tuesday — crossing the halfway mark, while its main rival BJP was lagging behind.

Counting of the votes began at 8am and the Election Commission said all results were expected to be in by 12.30pm.

According to leads till 9:30 AM for 64 of the 70 seats of the Delhi assembly on Times Now, the AAP was ahead in 52 seats, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 11 and the Congress in four.

According to leads from other TV news channels, the AAP had made gains in 16 seats when compared to the 2013 polls. The BJP, on the other hand, was trailing in 12 seats it had won in the last elections.
