Nagpur: A swing made out of a dupatta proved to be noose for a 10-year old boy. The tragic incident took place in Lakadganj area here on Monday.
The deceased kid Saurabh Ganesh Nanhe (10), resident of Juni Mangalwari, Azamshaha Square, was swinging to a swing made out of dupatta at his residence around 6 pm on Monday. While enjoying the swing, the dupatta got entangled around his neck and it proved to be noose. As Saurabh swung the dupatta tightened its grip as a noose and stifled him. He was rendered unconscious. For reasons best known to the family members, the tragedy was not noticed immediately. And when it was noticed, it was too late. The unconscious Saurabh was rushed to GMCH where doctors pronounced him dead around 8 pm while undergoing treatment.
Lakadganj PSI V K Masram, on the basis of information, has registered a case of accidental death and launched in-depth investigation.
