Delhi Public School, MIHAN celebrated its Annual Function for Grades Pre Nursery -III on 16th December 2023. The entire show was based on the theme ‘Jungle Jumboree-Quest for the Tree of Life’ which beautifully showcased the symbiotic relation of the fictitious ‘Tree of Life’ with the animals and birds that are a part of its ecosystem.
Through myriad celebrations replete with music, dazzling dances, enactments and hues of colours amidst great zeal, vibrancy and elation the theatrical performance highlighted the adventurous journey of Dora and her friends.
Ms.Pooja Banerjee Sejwal, noted celebrity and TV actress of several popular TV shows graced the occasion as Chief Guest. RJ Sonal had lively interaction with the guest to apprise the audience regarding her work.
The function took place in the auspicious presence of the President and ProVice Chairperson of DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road Nagpur Ms Tulika Kedia, Director DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road Ms Savita Jaiswal .Mr.Anunay Kedia, Principal DPS Kamptee Road Ms Yogeeta Umalkar Mr. Inderjeet Parganiha, Bursar DPS MIHAN and Kamptee Road also graced the occasion.
The programme commenced with the lighting of the Lamp by the dignitaries and invoking God’s blessings. The august gathering and the guests were cordially welcomed by the Principal Ms Nidhi Yadav who rendered the welcome address. She highlighted the school’s progress in academic and non-academic areas. Ms.Tulika Kedia in her address emphasized that we need to nurture the trees and protect the environment as a treasure for the next generations.
The cultural programme began with a spellbinding performance of the students in Ganesh Vandana. The chief guest appreciated the talent displayed by the students. She also emphasized that with faith and confidence every child has the potential to achieve one’s goals.
In connection with the celebrations, an exhibition on the theme NEP 2020 – Visions Unveiled which showcased the various creative works of the students was inaugurated by Ms. Tulika Kedia. Guests and parents appreciated the efforts of the students.
The Annual Day programme was anchored by Ms.Ganika Bhat and Mst.Shreyas Deshpande and a cordial Vote of Thanks was proposed by Mst.Atharva Mishra, Vice-Cultural Captain of the school.
