Nagpur: The body of a girl, identified as Tejaswini Shrikant Kadam, was found at 7.30 morning in Gandhisagar lake on June 4. On being informed, the Ganeshpeth police team rushed to the spot and got the body recovered with the help of a diver, Jagdish Khare.
The girl jumped into the lake and thus committed suicide just because she had obtained less than expected marks in the HSSC exams, confirmed the police, adding that she was resident of Swatantra Nagar in the city and she was upset over her result.
She was intelligent, yet she could not score well. However her family tried to solace her, but she was unable to compromise with her performance, and thus she committed suicide. Her body was sent for postmortem report. Further investigation is underway.
