Here’s a heart breaking news for damsels enamored with Bollywood hunks. Shahid Kapoor of Jab we met fame has met the girl of his dreams – finally. And it is no actress or model or anyone from show business. After being paired with Kareena Kapoor and Vidya Balan in the past, and both these liaisons not working out well for Shahid, it seems he decided it was going to be someone not connected with movie business at all.
There is news that Shahid is set to marry a Delhi girl Mira Rajput this year in December. The two are supposedly already engaged in a hush hush ceremony on Makar Sankranti day – Jan 14th.
Mira is still a student of English (Hons) at LSR. She and Shahid met through the religious group Radha Soami Satsang Beas of which he and his father Pankaj are ardent followers.

Not many people know that Shahid’s mother is a Muslim, very talented but little known actress Neelima Azeem. His parents separated when he was three and both have re married. Shahid’s step mom is TV and film actress Supriya Pathak.His maternal grandfather was Anwar Azeem, a noted Marxist journalist and author from Bihar. His great grandfather was a film director, screenwriter, novelist and journalist Khwaja Ahmad Abbas, popularly known as KA Abbas.
Shahid was born in Delhi and was raised there before he shifted to Mumbai when he was in the fourth grade. He is now a strict vegetarian and an animal lover.
He recently won his first Filmfare award for Best lead actor for his sterling performance in Haider.
