Nagpur: A total of 10 property owners in Zone-7 and Zone-10 faced the crackdown of Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) for non-payment of their Property Tax in lakhs. The NMC recovered around Rs 5.50 lakh from the tax evaders by seizing their properties.
The NMC seized five houses in Ward No 49 of Satranjipura Zone and recovered Rs 3,26,732 pending Property Tax dues from the owners.
Similarly, in Ward No 62 of Mangalwari Zone-10, the NMC seized residential properties and recovered Rs 2,06,986 Property Tax dues from the defaulters.

The special drives to recover Property Tax from the evaders are being undertaken under the directives of Municipal Commissioner Shyam Wardhane by the respective Zone Assistant Commissioners to meet the recovery target.
