Localities receiving water supply from Bharatwada (Deshpande Lay Out) ESR will not receive water supply on November 21, 2014 following an elevated service reservoir (ESR) cleaning work taken up by The Orange City Water (OCW).
The areas to be affected are: Deshpande Layout, Prajapati Nagar, Nehru Nagar slum, Trimurti nagar, Sonba nagar, Hiwari Nagar, MIG and LIG colony, Shiwaji Society, EWS colony, Padole Nagar, New Panther Nagar, Padole Nagar slum, East Wardhman Nagar, Wardhman Nagar etc.
The OCW that is operating and maintaining Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMCs) existing water supply system is giving special emphasis on cleaning of elevated service reservoir (ESR) and ground service reservoirs (GSR’s) by an in-house developed OCW ESR Cleaning system.
Last year OCW has cleaned almost 39 ESR’s in city which were not cleaned since last many years. OCW has also decided to clean every ESR, every year in a bid to provide people clean potable water.
The inconvenience caused to citizens due to ESR cleaning and maintenance work is highly regretted.
